Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems
The purpose of the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) in your vehicle is to warn you that at least one or more tires are significantly under-inflated, possibly creating unsafe driving conditions. Two ways tire pressure monitoring detects the under inflated
- Direct Method – Each wheel has tire pressure monitoring module it connects with wireless technology with other tyres and centralized system which process each tire pressure data and trigger popup/ indicate it to the driver.
- Indirect method – Without Individual Tire Pressure module which is mounted on each wheel, it uses the existing wheel speed sensor to detect the individual wheel rotation to process it with a predefined algorithm which detect under-inflated tyre and report it to the driver.
